Into the Wild Sahara

Erg Chegaga is the definition of the wild desert. Unlike Merzouga, which is paved up to the dunes, Chegaga requires a 2-hour off-road 4x4 drive to reach. This remote location ensures an authentic, tranquil experience away from the crowds.

This 3-day adventure takes you over the High Atlas Mountains, through the Draa Valley (the longest palm grove in Morocco), and deep into the Sahara. You will traverse the dry salt lake of Iriqui and experience the thrill of Paris-Dakar rally tracks.

Sleep in a comfortable nomadic camp surrounded by rolling dunes stretching as far as the eye can see. This trip is perfect for travelers seeking solitude, adventure, and the raw beauty of nature.

Frequently Asked Questions

We use a robust 4x4 (Toyota Land Cruiser or similar) because access to Erg Chegaga requires driving on unpaved tracks and dunes.
It's different. Merzouga has higher orange dunes but is more touristy. Chegaga is wilder, more remote, and offers a true off-road expedition feeling.
Yes! Sandboards are available at the camp for you to surf the dunes.
