Escape the heat of Marrakech and venture into the cool, crisp air of the High Atlas Mountains. Imlil is a charming Berber village located at 1,740 meters above sea level, serving as the main gateway for treks to Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.
This full-day excursion is designed for nature lovers and cultural explorers alike. You will drive through the stunning Moulay Brahim Gorges, passing terraced fields of cherry and walnut trees. Upon arrival in Imlil, you can choose to hike on foot or ride a mule up to the armed village of Aroumd.
The true highlight of the day is lunch. You will be welcomed into a traditional Berber home to share a delicious Tagine with a local family, enjoying panoramic views of the snowy peaks from their terrace. It's an authentic connection you won't forget.
